The Canadian dollar sagged:Tuesday, the Canadian dollar sagged, in spite of a stronger-than-expected reading of Canada’s composite leading indicator, and rising energy prices. Canada is a net oil and gas exporter, and rising energy prices contributed greatly to the loonie’s rise last year. It would appear that the once strong connection between it and oil is no more.
