Evening Star

 

An Evening Star works with the same concept of the Morning Star but in a different way. It usually happens during a sustained uptrend market. It consists of 3 candlesticks - a long green candlestick body, a higher but shorter star and finally a long red candlestick body. Those candlestick bodies are separated from each other and the last long red candlestick body is a confirmation of the trend reversal that the closing price is higher than the midpoint of the earlier long green candlestick body.
